A personal game memory archive that turns gameplay, emotion, and reflection into a cinematic dashboard.

Press Save… is a personal website that records and organizes the game journey. It saves what I played, what I felt, and what I want to keep after the game ends.

Instead of focusing only on scores, rankings, or achievements, the project explores how gameplay data, biometric response, special moments, and personal reflection can become a meaningful memory archive.

App Functions

“At first, I thought game records were about progress and achievements, but through this project I realized what I really wanted to save was the feeling of playing.”

The website summarizes the player’s emotional pattern and play style into a game persona, helping users understand how they behave and react during gameplay.

Press Save… asks how a game website can move beyond performance tracking and become a place for emotional memory, design observation, and self-reflection.

The player can write personal thoughts and design reflections. These reflections connect feeling with analysis, allowing the player to record what moved them, what design moments stood out, and what they learned from the game.

Al-Assisted Design Process

Then I used Figma Make to quickly generate different interface directions, including the homepage, function sections, and game dashboard layouts. These AI-generated results helped me explore visual hierarchy, spacing, card systems, and how the website could present gameplay data, biometric response, and reflection in one experience.

Press Save… captures the player’s physical and emotional response during gameplay. GPU/CPU performance, face tracking, and breathing data work together to reveal how the body reacts in different moments — when the player feels focused, tense, excited, or overwhelmed.

The website also records the structure of each game session, including playtime, achievements, special moments, and progress. These details turn a temporary gaming experience into an organized archive, helping the player remember not only what they completed, but when and how the experience happened.

In the end, Press Save… generates a shareable report that brings gameplay data, memory, and reflection together.

I used AI as a design partner during the development of Press Save…. I first communicated with GPT to clarify the concept, organize the website structure, and turn my ideas into clear prompts for Figma Make. I described the purpose of the project, target users, key functions, and visual tone, such as cinematic, emotional, dark, and personal.

After generating the design, I exported the results into Figma and continued editing them manually. I adjusted the typography, layout, images, colors, spacing, and written content to make the final design feel more polished and more connected to my original concept. AI helped me move faster, but the final decisions and refinements were made by myself.

Visual Direction

The visual direction of Press Save… is cinematic, narrative, minimal, and professional. The dark background, large game imagery, and bold typography create an immersive feeling, while the clean layout keeps the information clear and easy to read. The design uses visual hierarchy and spacing to guide users through the story of each game session, making the website feel both personal and polished.

Reflection

I explored how a game experience can become more than a record of progress or achievement. I wanted to create a space where gameplay, emotion, body response, and personal reflection can be saved together. This project helped me understand that the most meaningful parts of playing games are often small, temporary moments — a surprising reaction, a difficult choice, a beautiful scene, or a feeling that stays after the game ends. By turning these moments into a visual archive, Press Save… becomes both a personal memory system and a way to understand myself as a player and designer.

Most existing game platforms focus on: achievements, rankings, consumption.

There are very few spaces where players can document and organize their memory.

During the interview, the user shared that they wanted to record their mood during special moments while playing games. They felt that saving a snapshot of their real reaction could make the memory easier to revisit later. They also wanted the website to connect with game platforms to track playtime, achievements, and gameplay data. With AI support, they hoped the system could help them better understand their habits, strengths, preferences, and what kind of game player they are.
